ABOUT US

The Eta Alpha Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity currently stands at over 100 members. Founded in 1970, our chapter is one of the oldest on campus, and our success reflects that.

Theta Chi is one of the most involved fraternities at Clemson University, with members holding positions in organizations such as the CU Tour Guides, Student Senate, Student Funding Board, IPTAY, and many more. In 2025, we received the Award for Chapter Development and the New Member Program Award from the Theta Chi Grand Chapter. Additionally, we recently won awards for Chapter Operations, Community Service, Internal Cooperation, Member Education, Safety, and Social Programming from Clemson Fraternity and Sorority Life.

PHILANTHROPY & VALUES

Theta Chi supports the United Service Organization (USO). The USO directly supports veterans of the United States of America, and we are proud to help such an important organization and community. Every semester, we raise thousands for the USO by holding on and off campus events, of which every cent earn goes directly to aiding our servicemen and women. The brothers participated in Venmo squares and a punt pass and kick event during the Fall 2022 semester to raise money for the USO. Members of Theta Chi are held to high standards. Theta Chi believes in True Friendship as we extend an “Assisting Hand” to one another, the primacy of Alma Mater as we are loyal students and alumni for life, the promotion of knowledge, the advancement of culture, and the usefulness of our Fraternity as we seek the mutual benefit and improvement of all our members and strive to serve our country and our fellow man.

The Eta Alpha chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity also believes in helping the less fortunate and being involved with our local community both in and outside of the university.

ACADEMICS

The Eta Alpha chapter of Theta Chi achieved a 3.338 chapter GPA during the Fall 2022 semester. This GPA ranked 2nd place among IFC Fraternity chapters. The chapter includes brothers from many different majors offered by Clemson University that are able to offer academic support and create a positive academic environment for all members.
