CLEMSON INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL
PHI SIGMA KAPPA
ABOUT US
The Upsilon Septaton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa at Clemson University is a lifelong brotherhood dedicated to the betterment of the individual, the university community, and our world. Shown in members at the University and through an extensive alumni network, Phi Sig provides our members with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, participate in service to others, achieve academic excellence, and practice personal integrity. The ideals of Phi Sigma Kappa are displayed campuswide by our 140 members through an array of involvement through service, academics, and athletics, producing several Interfraternity Council leaders, student government position holders, and executive leaders amongst a variety of groups on campus.

Phi Sigma Kappa was founded nationally on March 15, 1873, and the chapter was founded at Clemson University on December 5, 2005.
PHI SIGMA KAPPA'S
PHILANTHROPY & VALUES
The organization of Phi Sigma Kappa was founded on the Cardinal Principles of the Promotion of Brotherhood, the Stimulation of Scholarship, and the Development of Character, embodied by all members at Clemson University and nationally.

Brothers also follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Phi Sigma Kappa raises money for the South Carolina Special Olympics through our annual Polar Plunge, which raises tens of thousands each spring. The Upsilon Septaton chapter also holds several other key philanthropy programs throughout the year to support our campus and community.
MEMBERSHIP & ACADEMICS
Numerous Brotherhood events are held each semester to connect our members, such as our annual crawfish broil and sporting events in Atlanta, Greenville, and Clemson.

Phi Sig holds its members to a high academic standard, commonly sporting a top GPA amongst fraternities for existing and new members.
Our Professional Development council conducts multiple workshops throughout the semester to cover instrumental qualifications and skills utilized to assist in future professions and help create better Men.
CHAPTER ACCOLADES
In the 2022 academic year, Phi Sigma Kappa won all seven Clemson FSL awards in Alumni Development, Philanthropic Service, Campus Involvement, Fraternity and Sorority Life Involvement, Scholastic Achievement, New Member Program, and Chapter Development. Additionally, our chapter received the 2023 Health and Wellness Program or Initiative award for the founding of our Mental Health Chair.
At back-to-back Phi Sigma Kappa National conventions, in 2023 and 2024, the Upsilon Septaton Chapter at Clemson University was awarded the highest honor given by the Fraternity: the Herbert L. Brown Outstanding Chapter Award. This award is presented to the chapter that excels in the following ten categories of criteria: Recruitment, Philanthropy, Associate Member Education, Campus Involvement, Community Service, Risk Management, Communications, Membership Excellence, Scholarship, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
DUES & NEW MEMBER PERIOD
The cost to join Phi Sigma Kappa is roughly $1000 for both new and existing members.

The new member period length is eight weeks. This means that members who received a bid will be initiated eight weeks after they receive and accept their bid.
HOUSING
Our influence on campus has been rapidly increasing, mirroring the continuous growth of our chapter. In the upcoming Fall of 2024, we are proud to announce that we will accommodate 21 active brothers within the Greek Quad on campus. Additionally, we extend the opportunity for 4 members to reside in our off-campus Fraternity House, affectionately known by its unique nickname, "Bamboo," inspired by its distinct backyard.
Our Fraternity currently boasts a dedicated Housing Chair who consistently works towards expanding our presence across campus. Their efforts include securing housing spots for all active members in one of our various properties, ensuring a cohesive and thriving living experience for our brotherhood.
With that being said, PSK is excited to announce that we will be adding a new multi-acre property to our chapter. This new addition will accommodate 6 more brothers and enhance our community living experience. More details coming soon…
