ABOUT US

Dating back to 1824, the Chi Phi Fraternity takes the name as the oldest social fraternity. We strive to build better men through brotherhood, social events, and professionalism while upholding our values of truth, honor, and personal integrity.

The Delta Theta Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity originated at Clemson in 2000. The chapter had a hiatus in membership until its recolonization in 2016. We now have 126 active brothers.

CHI PHI'S

PHILANTHROPY & SERVICE

The annual Doug Gibson Memorial Golf Tournament is the most notable philanthropic endeavor of ours. The tournament raises money for scholarship funds to be awarded to Chi Phi brothers and other members of Greek Life. Over the last four years, we have raised $229,000 dollars for our student scholarship trust. This money allowed us to award one brother and two other members of Greek life, each with a 4,000 dollar scholarship this past year.

Other philanthropic events include an annual food packaging drive with Rise Against Hunger. Through fundraising and the involvement of brothers, we are able to package over 12,000 meals for children in underserved communities. We also support Battle Buddies of the Carolinas, a non profit that trains service dogs to help Veterans who suffer from PTSD and other traumatic injuries.

Our chapter also gives back to the community through involvement in Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Highway Cleanups. Along with this, we give out three scholarships through the Chi Phi educational trust.

DUES & NEW MEMBER PERIOD

New Member dues are around $1000 for their first semester. After the new member semester, dues are roughly $850 according to your grade.

The new member period length is 8 weeks. This means that members who receive a bid will be initiated 8 weeks after they receive and accept a bid.

HOUSING

Situated one block behind downtown Clemson in a prime location for Gameday and weekends. It is three separate houses forming a quad that holds 12 brothers. It serves as the hub for on-campus events, including parent weekends, alumni gatherings, and tailgates

Conversely, the Estate, located in between Clemson and Seneca, holds up to 16 brothers and sprawls across 14 acres. Suiting it's name, the Estate includes a pool, a gun range, a full gym, a brotherhood lounge, and a warehouse used for various events. Each property enriches the fraternity experience in its own distinctive way.
